Sookie is a survivor. She's been through the ringer. She and her baby daddy were abanonded in a home. Animal control confiscated these two and Sookie was pregnant. Rescues took her puppies and her male partner but she was left behind. We were able to pull Sookie the day she was suppose to be euthanized. Sookie's eyes tell a story of the sadness she has lived through but they also tell us she has a lust for life. Sookie is about 3 years old and gets along with other big dogs but needs an experienced handler due to her size and strength. Sookie will sit on command. She is working on her leash manners. She loves to go for walks. Her whole spirit changes when she sees you stop in front of her kennel with a leash. Sookie takes some time to get warmed up new people. She is just unsure. She has been let down many times before and needs to trust before letting her walls down.
